[SPECIALIZED NUTRITION] LET'S INNOVATE TOGETHER!

A collaborative project between different Solina branches has resulted in the creation of an innovative protein cake for the elderly people.

The cakes are now offered by Nutrisis®.

They are produced in the French factory of Laboratoire PYC.

Aliette Richard, Anne Fundt and Laura Augrandjean explain:

Aliette Richard:
Nutrisis® is specialised in Oral Clinical Nutrition and is developed mainly in hospitals and retirement homes. It offers innovative and tasty solutions for special medical purposes (DADFMS). Its promise: "Contribute to the well-being of residents and facilitate the daily life of nursing staff". The Nutrisis® range is based on major pathologies: undernutrition, disorder of malnutrition and autonomy of food self-sufficiency.

Anne Fundt and Laura Augrandjean:
The cakes have been specifically developed for patients with malnutrition. They are high in protein (8g of protein for 2 cakes) and high in calories. They are supplemented with vitamins D, E, B6, B9 and B12 as well as calcium. The aim was to combine a healthy solution with a delicious product. Several flavours are offered including chocolate and lemon, with a very soft texture. The cakes are small (20g) and easy to eat to allow specific patients to easily enrich their daily needs.
